The Argyrakis Family Wine Legacy
The Argyrakis family's wine journey began in Smyrna (Izmir) in the early 1900s. Georgios Argyrakis, originally a horse trader, crafted exceptional wine using traditional methods on his estate. Following the devastating Great Fire of Smyrna in 1922, the family relocated to Thessaloniki, Greece.
Continuing the family tradition, Georgios's grandson, Giorgos Argyrakis, pursued a successful career as a leading oenologist at Boutaris S.A., a renowned wine company. In 1997, he founded Argyrakis Wines, a family-run winery in Naoussa, northern Greece.
With an annual production of about 20,000 bottles, Argyrakis Wines focuses on high-quality wines by blending traditional techniques with renowned local grape varieties. Today, Giorgos, along with his sons Konstantinos and Spiros, strive to create unique wines that meet the highest expectations of wine enthusiasts.
