Sourced from vineyards in the Peloponnese, Rosso di Massimo is a distinctive expression of 100% Mavrodafni, crafted in a dry, modern style. Produced from conventionally farmed vines, the wine undergoes maturation of up to 12 months, including time in oak barrels up to 300L, followed by up to 6 months of bottle ageing. With an alcohol level of 13%, it offers a balanced and refined profile, showcasing the versatility of the Mavrodafni variety beyond its traditional styles.
Tasting Notes
Aromatically rich, it reveals notes of dark red fruits, dried plum, and subtle spice, with gentle hints of oak. On the palate, it is smooth and structured, with balanced acidity, soft tannins, and a dry, elegant finish.
Food Pairing Suggestions
Pairs beautifully with roasted meats, slow-cooked dishes, tomato-based sauces, and aged cheeses. Its depth and structure also complement Mediterranean cuisine and herb-infused dishes.
Award
Awarded Silver Medal (88 points) at the Thessaloniki Wine & Spirits Trophy 2026.
